As usual NordicTrack has developed somewhat of a reputation for bringing quality and luxury in an affordable package, but they are premium machines and do carry a little higher price tag.
The 2010 updates both feature more powerful motors. The A2550 houses a 2.5 CHP motor while the A2750 delivers a 2.75 CHP Dura Drive motor. There isn’t a huge difference in power unless you are comparing these two titans of home fitness to other competitors on the market. The A2750 possesses a slightly larger treadbelt at 20 x 60, while the A2550 clocks in at 20 x 55, a negligible difference for persons within the weight capacity of either machine. And on the topic of weight capacity, the A2750 delivers a slightly higher limit at 350 pounds as opposed to the A2550’s 325 pounds. Where both of these machines really line up is in user friendliness. With full wireless connectivity, the A2550 and A2750 machines feature iFit Live capabilities that allow you the user to design your own workout and, under the guidance of Jillian Michaels. You can even stay connected with and compete against your Facebook friends, making exercise fun and competitive. Keep each other motivated each day, and challenge one another to do better. Not many treadmills allow you to have your own support group!
While both of these machines typically come in over $1,000, they are truly worth it in the areas of power, functionality, and convenience. No matter what you choose, you will have the tools to get where you want to be.
