This is my 4th day of joining seocontest2008. I have updated the intended page but the cache on google index remain the same. Just wondering how long it will get refreshed.
More participant has joined the competition and it adds more fun for all of us. It become tougher and we have to think broader approach to push our SERP position. I think on page optimization is done, now I have to think about off page optimization. In this part, massive link building is the keypoint.
When I evaluate those pages that appeared on first position of SERP, they have thousands backlink pointing to intended page. But most of those backlink only got indexed by yahoo and none in Google. So the big question appear, how did google measure a page and decided that page should be on first position ?
I hope by working on this competition, I can finally discover the basic principles of becoming top position on SERP
