If you buy a classic Pocket Watch for your own collection there are some basic information you better know so that your valuable pocket watch will works for life time. In fact, the pocket watch is generally well designed and well built so they were so reliable for daily use.

First, like any other valuable goods, you should you take care of your watch carefully. Keep it in your hands, and use a chain to secure the watch. It would be futile if you drop a pocket watch that could cost you thousand of dollars. It’s just a bad idea!

2. Pocket watches was originally designed as the gadget for civilized people and therefore you can’t use it in extreme weather. If you plan to climb the Himalaya or diving on Hawaii just put your pocket watch safe in your desk. Extreme cold temperatures, or water can break the precision movement of your watch. Simply switch it to a sports wristwatch.

3. DON’T put your watch in a pocket with keys, coins, or other metal objects. It could scratch the cover of your watch. Always remember to use a soft, nonabrasive rag or cloth to polish or wipe your watch.

4. Because the temperature and humidity could change the metal precision inside your watch, it is very advisable to have your pocket watch serviced and maintained every couple of years. Professional jewelers and watchmakers apprentice for years and are experts in everything watches.

Changing Blog Themes

Zetys.info is just starting for a couple of days as an active blog. Therefore I still need some improvement here and there to achieve the best performance and layout. I was searching a good themes design to be used here.

Thank to OS Designer for designing an elegant CSS Gallery theme. I love it’s simplicity, so I decided to use the theme on Zetrys.Info.

The CSS Gallery is actually meant to be a Themes Gallery for WordPress, but it’s not difficult to transform the gallery themes into regular blog themes. I only need to add several wordpress template tags on the original theme. And here it is the new themes for my blog.

One crucial factor I was worrying is about the structure of CSS Gallery code which is not optimized for Search Engine Crawler. The content on each page is displayed after the sidebar and this is not SEO friendly. Ideally the content should come first then followed by the sidebar and the footer. To fix this I have to switch the section’s order of appearance and put the content on the first position. I have to change some CSS code though.

Now the themes for my review blog is ready, it looks great on Firefox, Opera and Safari, but the Internet Explorer 7 doesn’t display it correctly. I need to work on it.
