My request to join Tradepub affiliate program has been accepted. Tradepub is free magazine subscriptions affiliate program. It is fascinating following this affiliate program since it’s offering a lot of free magazine subscription and free white paper download. The Tradepub affiliate program has been working together with many web publisher to sell subscription of magazine and online book starting from late 2007. Since then, more and more web publisher joining this program and the number of tradepub’s magazine partner also growing which in turn helping the web publisher to sell magazine subscription with related topic.

At this point I really don’t have any clue about how much I will earn from this affiliate, hopefully tradepub will bring extra cash for me. I will post about the performance of this program right after I got my sales report.

Anti Ads Internet Browser Could Be Dangerous for Web Publisher

Many web publisher offering free service to their reader but they displaying several advertising spot as exchange. The income generated from those ads spot is important to keep the site running since the website need money for covering maintenance and operating cost. However some Internet user starting to switch those ads off the page using anti ads internet browser. Some Swedish advertising students designed a browser plugin that detects banner ads and replaces them with content you choose. It would be taking the anti-advertising principle and move it into the mainstream.

If more and more internet user following this trend, it could hurt online advertising industry and many web publisher will be pushed to find other way to finance the operating cost of their site.

Infolinks CPM advertising network

Today I’m starting to implement infolinks in-text ads on one of my site. This ads link is similar to in-line text ads from Kontera if you ever see one. According to several member on online forum, the earning rates of infolinks so far beat the earning rates from Kontera. Still I have to wait of my own result before believing those rumor.

Let see in the next couple of days for the real result. Hopefully Infolinks does perform better than Kontera.

Pay-Per-Click Fraud Rate Number Still Frightening

Click Forensics today released industry pay-per-click (PPC) fraud figures for the second quarter 2008 from its independent click fraud reporting service, the Click Fraud Index. According to data reported for Q2 2008, the overall industry average click fraud rate was 16.2%. That’s down slightly from the 16.3% rate reported for Q1 2008 and up from the 15.8% click fraud rate reported for Q2 2007. The average click fraud rate of PPC advertisements appearing on search engine content networks, including Google AdSense and the Yahoo Publisher Network, was 27.6%. That’s down from the 27.8% rate reported for Q1 2008 and up from the 25.6% average click fraud rate reported for Q1 2007.

For the first time, traffic from botnets was responsible for more than 25% of all click fraud traffic in Q2 2008. In Q2 2008, the greatest percentage of click fraud originating from countries outside North America came from China (4.3%), Russia (3.5%), and France (3.2%).

Click Forensics found that the methods used to commit click fraud have become increasingly more sophisticated and difficult to detect. The threat from botnets is the biggest concern as they have grown to cause over one quarter of all click fraud. Online advertisers should be extra vigilant in watching for traffic from botnets in their search marketing campaigns.

Starting A New Journey To Earn Money Online

There have been some big changes that had happened on Zetrys.Info during the past one year online. Starting as a site directory that has no luck attracting more listers, then we’ve decided to park it on NameDrive, up to now we’ve changed our mind again and starting to activate this domain back from it’s hibernation.

The main reason we’ve pulled the Zetrys.Info back to life, is merely on it’s PageRank. I still have no idea, why this domain keeping a PageRank 3 during it’s parking period?

While a PR3 has no meaning for a parked domain, at the same time, parking Zetrys.Info didn’t give me enough earning since it has only very small visitor since I never use any promotion to drive more traffic to it.

Regarding to it’s PR, I think the Zetrys.Info could earn more money if I use it as an active Blog to write some review. Perhaps you know already that a high rank domain could accept a higher bid price on paid review agency. That’s what I’m looking for.

I have been in paid review business for a while and I think paid review still looks promising venue to earn money. Although it is not kind such a passive income but I think paid review has an attractive side for me.

The paid review business once had a big drawback when Google start reducing PageRank until zero of many domain which clearly indicates a paid review. Google doesn’t like buying link activity in order to boost PageRank or SERP.

One of my blog that I used to write a review article received this punishment and it’s PageRank fell down from 4 to zero, I keep it online ever since without regularly update.

Now I start my journey again with a new home on Zetrys.Info and I will give you regular updates related to this journey. Wish me luck guys.
