What a pretty busy day. I was uploading two new sites and testing one wordpress themes but all have gave me headache. The main problem was on code incompatibility between PHP4 that soon become obsolete and the new PHP5. I’m using Adbie to run those two sites and I uploaded on two separate server.
The first sites is about mp3 music and it’s related topics. When installing Adbie on the server, the problem was on Dom Xml module which is not active. The Dom Xml is important to parse the xml feed from amazon or clickbank so Adbie can display the search result. Eventually I have to disabled the search function for amazon and clickbank to make the site online.
The second site contains information about anime and toys. This site is also gave me an headache because I finaly realized that adbie’s script code is not compatible with PHP5. For your information, the second server was running with PHP5 and I put the anime and toys website on this server with expectation to benefit the Dom Xml module.
With those incompatibility, the short cut was downgrading the server back to PHP4 and it just worked well. Just after I activated the PHP4, the adbie works and you can see the free manga as well.
By downgrading the server, eventually I also solving my other problem with a wordpress which I’m testing on this page. Since I’m not fluent with PHP coding, I couldn’t remove the incompatibility bugs instead of using the PHP4 again.
