While your kids may have been healthy for the last couple years, when you don’t have coverage this is when they will get quite ill and need a lot of medication, numerous doctors’ visits, or even hospitalization. It also seems like as soon as you cancel your coverage that that is when the kids decide to break a bone or you get in a car accident. Insurance is there for those occasions when you need serious medical coverage that costs a serious about of money.
As you can see, health care insurance is important because health care is expensive. In fact, it is so expensive that the ordinary person cannot afford to go to the doctor and get the prescription medication they need when they are ill or injured. It’s better to pay the premiums and not need the coverage than to need it and not have it.
